i guess it's time for an update.
-my sister came and visited me on friday and as we were riding on the good ol cta bus she got a call from my mom saying she got into depaul! and not only that, she coming for spring semester, so she'll be moving here in january!!! i'm soo excited. she's only 9 stops on the el from my campus! thats like 15 minutes away or so. ahhh. im just so happy i will have her here.
-i did some adding and figuring things out for my psych class and i realized i only need to get 45 out of 60 on my final to get a C. soo thank goodness. i'm almost positive i can do that. i have beth from across the to get my butt into shape.
-today i had my observation for YOU (after school program) and i officially got the job! i absolutely loved it. yeah, the kids were kind of a pain in the butt at times, but it is so worth it. knowing that i'm making an impact and helping the kids is so nice. all they want it a little attention and someone to just listen to their days. i'm so happy!
-things are still going good roommate wise! i'm in love with my floor. i don't know what i would do if i hadn't moved into a different room. i've met my closest friends on my floor. it's nice that i'm finally making best friends. it's helping with the fact that i'm losing so many relationships back home. but honestly, it doesn't really upset me so much. it did for a long time, but i knew it would happen and the people i do talk to have proven who my true friends are.
-i come home for thanksgiving break in less than two weeks. i can't wait. i'm excited to be with my family and just relax. although, i won't be able to relax too much, right when i get back finals start. but i'm lucky enough to be done very early. i actually come home december 9! i've been thinking alot about winter break and how weird it's going to be! i have a completely different life now. will things go back to how they were before we left? i don't know, but im ready for some stress free time.
